Well, it's been months since I've posted, been real busy not being busy :-).
I'll get the gigs list updated soon, but in general I've just been playing Friday nights at The Basement. My 1-year-anniversary there will be happening next month, and I'm currently in the planning stages for not only a party but also a mix CD to celebrate.

More news/updates soon I promise!

DJing has been going well - 2 great parties in the past 2 weekends:
Spy Vs. Spy was fantastic, for more information go to my other blog. Also DJed a party for July 4th, Mad Cow was the theme. Lots of dancing and drinking :-).

Just been DJing at The Basement, past few gigs have gone quite well - had a nice drum n bass session two weeks ago. Spending most of my time promoting the Spy Vs. Spy party - should be a pretty huge party, we're hoping for well over 100 people. In addition to the raffle, we're having a date auction, an awards show, and some small games. Going to be a long, busy night, but hopefully one that raises a lot of money for charity!

Will post much more news after this weekend, when I can relax for a bit :-)

Still been on the weekly grind at The Basement, but I'm now finished at Neo. The Basement gigs have been going well, lots of late night fun. All the gigs you missed hearing about (haha) have been added to the gig list.
Upcoming Saturdays will be spent planning and promoting a massive upcoming party for charity, Spy Vs. Spy. Here's the press release for the party:

To celebrate the conclusion of Busan Assassin, an awards show/party/final fundraiser event is being held at Club Fabric, near Kyungsung University.

This is the 2nd charitable party to raise money for the Sung Ae Won Home for Children.

Just like Busan Assassin, it is guaranteed to be bigger and better than the Busan Beer Olympics.

It will be another party to remember, no matter how many beers you drink.

Save the orphans. Become a spy.

Foreigners "Kill" For Charity

At the end of June, the Busan streets will be filled with crazed foreigners, set on vengeance at all costs. Secretive assassins will roam the city, searching for their next hit without remorse. Fortunately, it won't be blood that will be spilt, but water!

To raise money for a local orphanage, the Sung Ae Won Home for Children, a unique event has been organized. "Busan Assassin" will run from June 18 to June 28, culminating in an awards show/party/final fundraiser event at Fabric, located in Kyungsung.

The object of the game is simple, kill or be killed, using water pistols as the primary weapon. Each participant will be given the name of their single target, as well as information regarding their whereabouts. They will then have to track them down, and slay them using their water pistol. Once accomplished they'll inherit their initial target's would-be victim, and the game continues until a final champion emerges. There will also be a "police force" to regulate the game rules, as well as to pursue slothful assassins. Workplaces (given that most participants will be English teachers) are off limits, and restaurants and bars will be as well, to protect the innocent!

"Busan Assassin" is the second in a series of events aimed to raise funds for the orphanage, while also involving foreigners more directly in the Korean life that all-to-often only exists around them. The first event, "Busan Beer Olympics," was held Saturday, April 5, and raised almost 900,000 won from entry fees, donations, and commemorative t-shirt sales. The second aims to be bigger and better, not only in terms of entertainment (hopefully for spectators as well as participants), but also in regards to the money collected for the orphanage.

Another good weekend, a St. Paddy's party on Friday gave things an Irish twist, and the post-Battle of the Bands gig on Saturday at Neo was exciting as well.

This last weekend was fun, Friday night went well enough, not real busy but the tunes were good - Saturday night no DJing since we went and saw Myagi, a breakbeat DJ from Canada who played here in Pusan, and then on Sunday I was called into Neo to fill in, so a Korean birthday-party got the waegook DJ treatment. Full schedule is on the sidebar, in case you were wondering!

UPDATE: Neo's back on (thanks Kester). Rebuilding for a second re-opening, to be succinct.

I'm going to be working on a mix to share, just a sample of the stuff I play live, so hopefully that can be finished sometime in the near future. Probably won't be amazing... oh, wait, yes it will.

Haha, well, missed a week's posting on here, so sorry faithful fans. Hahahahaha...

Anyways, am beginning to explore Ableton Live on my Mac, though honestly that will be an endless process. Have to get some additional equipment, a USB Midi Controller, like the Novation ReMOTE Zero SL or something similar, and then an external USB Soundcard (in order to be able to precue shit like a "normal" non-computer-using DJ.
