Matt, the owner of The Basement, is out of town, so I'm covering for Saturday night's lack of other entertainment. We'll see what that means :-)
This last weekend was fun, Friday night went well enough, not real busy but the tunes were good - Saturday night no DJing since we went and saw Myagi, a breakbeat DJ from Canada who played here in Pusan, and then on Sunday I was called into Neo to fill in, so a Korean birthday-party got the waegook DJ treatment. Full schedule is on the sidebar, in case you were wondering!

UPDATE: Neo's back on (thanks Kester). Rebuilding for a second re-opening, to be succinct.
Need to get an external audio interface and a MIDI Controller for proper DJing with Live. Poof, there goes half a paycheck...

I'm going to be working on a mix to share, just a sample of the stuff I play live, so hopefully that can be finished sometime in the near future. Probably won't be amazing... oh, wait, yes it will.

Haha, well, missed a week's posting on here, so sorry faithful fans. Hahahahaha...

Anyways, am beginning to explore Ableton Live on my Mac, though honestly that will be an endless process. Have to get some additional equipment, a USB Midi Controller, like the Novation ReMOTE Zero SL or something similar, and then an external USB Soundcard (in order to be able to precue shit like a "normal" non-computer-using DJ.

Three gigs in four days... whew.

Due to the holiday season things were a bit laid back over the weekend, but the show's all went well.

The X-Mas Eve Full Moon Party was definitely a bit crazy, with cheap buckets of rum and cokes (Thailand-style) putting more than a few drunks out on the dancefloor. I DJed for six hours, which was intense and fun.
